Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous customer service experience beneficial
  • healthcare experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license
  • meet Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability
  • meet medical guidelines for Category II drivers
  • ability to work outside in various weather conditions
  • able to walk up to eight miles daily
  • strong communication skills
  • good problem-solving abilities
  • ability to remain confident and professional under stress

Job Duties

  • Provide outstanding front line customer service
  • greet and assist patients, families, and visitors at valet entrances
  • park and retrieve customer vehicles
  • provide directions and assist those using handicapped areas
  • maintain the general upkeep of all valet entrance areas
  • assist healthcare staff with patient discharge including opening vehicle doors and loading belongings
  • operate all types of motor vehicles using manual or automatic transmissions
  • transport non-emergent patients and visitors within a one-mile radius of the medical facility when required
  • demonstrate professionalism and tact in all interactions
  • solve problems and provide excellent customer service
