Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
- One month of related experience or equivalent training
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions
- Ability to perform basic math operations with money
- Ability to present information effectively
- Ability to understand time systems and parking rates
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle including manual transmission and perform parallel parking
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to interact professionally and courteously with guests and coworkers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of work or within commutable distance
- One (1) month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to guests, clients, and employees
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with American money units
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable rates for time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly manner
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon guest arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles as necessary
