Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
- at least one month related experience or training
- ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
- ability to perform basic math operations
- ability to operate vehicles safely
- physical ability to perform outdoor work and handle luggage
- willingness to work Friday through Sunday schedule
- ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently
- reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
- one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- ability to read and write standard English
- ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- ability to write simple correspondence
- effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing with American money
- understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- acknowledges and greets guests within five feet using guest last names
- uses salutation of the day
- welcomes guests to the location
- practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- assists guests with bell services and luggage storage
- opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility
- delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
- shuttles guests to approved locations
- explains parking rates and retrieval procedures
- issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks prior to issuing keys
- completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
- calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
