Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state or nearby commutable area
- At least one month of related experience or training
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles
- Proficiency in reading, writing and comprehension of English
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations
- Capability to understand time systems and rate applications
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks involving lifting and vehicle operation
- Willingness to work predominantly outdoors in varying weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including money calculations
- Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- Understanding of rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously while assisting guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
- Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Maintain ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
