Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for applicable state or commutable area
- One month of related experience or equivalent education and training
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to comprehend and write simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to perform basic math operations
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Availability to work Monday through Friday between 6 am and 4:30 pm
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups
- Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with money units
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable rates based on time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests warmly using their last names
- Utilize proper phone etiquette and post in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and efficiently
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Provide guests with directions, taxi information, reservations, and inquiries
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to key issuance
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue for parked vehicles when necessary
