Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for state of employment or commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to understand time systems and rate calculations
  • Ability to operate vehicles, preferably with manual transmission
  • Physical capability to meet job demands
  • Willingness to work Thursday through Sunday PM shifts
  • Ability to handle outdoor working conditions and environmental exposure
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with money units
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
  • Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue when needed
