Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Availability to work various days and shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American money
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
  • Knowledge of applicable parking rates and procedures
  • Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using their last names
  • Use appropriate salutations and welcomes
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles safely and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries
  • Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before returning keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
  • Calculate and collect parking revenue when necessary
