Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- One month related experience or training
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to comprehend instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Weekend open availability
- Willingness to travel up to 5 percent
- Ability to perform parking maneuvers such as parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using units of money
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Greet guests within five feet using their last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles safely and slowly
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, and reservations
- Provide information about local outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities
- Shuttle guests as approved by location
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including damage surveys and key tags
- Calculate and collect revenue as necessary
