Job Requirements
- 21 years of age or above
- obtain and maintain registration or license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission
- Massachusetts driver's license
- ability to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily
- ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, tools or controls
- ability to reach, sit, climb, balance, stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- ability to lift or maneuver at least fifty pounds
- ability to work varying schedules
- ability to work in moderate to loud noise environments
- ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- willingness to use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- ability to interact professionally with guests
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- culinary arts, hospitality, or related education or experience preferred
- minimum three years of experience preferred
- knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus
- outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills
- excellent attention to detail
- ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals
- ability to respond to common inquiries from employees or guests
- conversational English required
- second language a plus
- ability to write instructions and present information
- ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
- ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request
Job Duties
- Ensure all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied
- participate in short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness
- make changes required for improvement
- identify key drivers of success
- actively contribute to departmental performance and accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of policies and procedures
- record and report as necessary
- enforce all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and property-wide controls
- deliver and maintain a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction
- contribute to company-wide communication and best practices
- keep informed of all new developments within the department
- balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in stressful and high-pressure situations
- follow company security and validation procedures to ensure only authorized access to vehicles
- follow ingress and egress processes
- operate and park automatic and stick-shift vehicles
- follow cash handling procedures
- work with safety as a priority and follow department and company safety standards
- maintain relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
