Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state applied to or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s using American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state applied to or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to present information effectively in small groups
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and handle American money
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests and coworkers
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Park and retrieve vehicles in a prompt and safe manner
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Provide guests with directions, taxi information, reservations, and other inquiries
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks from guests prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
