Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior customer service or hotel operations experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift and carry packages and luggage up to 50 lbs
- Ability to push and pull bell carts up to 100 lbs
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings and evenings
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to maintain courteous behavior with guests and team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in hotel operations or customer service preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work productively in a team environment
- Effective multitasking skills
- Composure and patience under pressure
- Prefer hotel experience and background
- TABC certification
- Valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Contribute positively to the team within the department
- Prepare for all guest requests
- Participate in ongoing training
- Comply with Valencia Hotel Group standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with scheduling requirements
- Check arriving guests into the Oobeo valet application
- Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Greet and engage with guests to ensure quality of service and recover guest confidence
- Resolve guest and associate issues professionally and thoroughly
- Unload baggage from vehicles and taxis
- Open entrance doors for guests
- Answer questions and provide information and assistance
- Ensure charges and postings are processed prior to guest departure
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Be courteous to customers and employees
- Report unsafe conditions promptly
- Maintain hotel equipment properly
- Return customer vehicles timely upon request
- Promote good customer relations with friendly demeanor and willingness to help
- Observe safety precautions
- Escort guests to rooms and provide partial escorts
- Assist with transportation and handling of luggage
- Offer information about hotel services, points of interest, directions, and dining
- Explain hotel amenities and room features
- Inspect guest rooms for order and sufficient supplies during escort
- Deliver packages, luggage, and belongings
- Serve as alternate or additional valet, bellman, or doorman when required
- Complete errands as requested by Valencia Services and other departments
- Stay later than scheduled shift if needed to assist parking and accommodate guests
