Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state applied to work or within commutable distance
- Ability to talk or hear as required
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform physical activities such as running, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
- Availability to work AM and PM shifts
- Ability to follow established practices and procedures
- Ability to work under frequent supervision and verification
- Ability to make decisions within specific operational guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to guests, clients and employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using American money units
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
- Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket and vehicle information including damage surveys
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
