Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state of employment or commutable distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend and write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively
- Ability to perform basic math operations with money
- Ability to understand time rate systems
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Willingness to work AM or PM shifts
- Ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in person to guests, clients and employees
- Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Understanding of rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using last names
- Use appropriate salutations and welcome guests
- Practice proper phone etiquette according to company standards
- Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage delivery and pickup
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Provide guests with directions, taxi arrangements, reservations and information about local amenities and attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Operate shuttle services to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
- Issue and collect claim checks after vehicle keys exchange
- Complete and maintain ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect parking revenue when necessary
