Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for state of employment or commutable distance
- One month related experience or training
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to comprehend and write simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively
- Basic math skills including operations with American money
- Understanding of 24 hour and military time
- Understanding of applicable rates for time passed
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively to guests, clients, and co-workers
- Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using American currency units
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand time-based rates
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using professional and friendly demeanor and guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location while practicing proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles carefully, driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage, opening vehicle and hotel doors as needed
- Provide guests with directions, taxi information, reservation assistance, and information about local amenities and attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested and shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
- Issue and collect claim checks in accordance with company procedures
- Complete and maintain accurate ticketing information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when necessary
