Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable area
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to understand time and rate systems
  • Capability to perform manual transmission driving and parallel parking
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Availability for 3pm-11pm shifts
  • Capability to stand or sit for extended periods
  • Ability to follow established procedures and work within departmental guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and perform basic money operations
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand parking rates
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use appropriate salutations and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and safely
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open doors for guests
  • Provide directions, taxi assistance, reservations and respond to guest inquiries
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • Issue and collect claim checks and vehicle keys
  • Complete and maintain ticket information including key tags and damage surveys
  • Calculate and collect revenue when needed
