Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Valid driver’s license for the working state or commutable area
- One month of related experience or training
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondences
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective communication skills for guest interaction
- Basic math skills for money calculations
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time formats
- Knowledge of parking rates and vehicle retrieval procedures
- Ability to operate manual vehicle transmission highly preferred
- Capability to perform parallel parking maneuvers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
- Ability to present information effectively in small group or one-on-one situations
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with money units
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Knowledge of applicable parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles carefully and safely
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
- Provide information about facility amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue and collect claim checks upon receiving and returning vehicle keys
- Complete and maintain ticket information accurately including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys and receipts
- Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
