Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state applied to work or within commutable distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Capability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to guests, clients and employees
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic using American money units
- Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- Understanding of parking rates and time-based charges
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Capability to work outdoors for extended periods, including in extreme weather
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of work or commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Capability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
- Greet guests within five feet using last names
- Use appropriate salutation and welcome guests
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles safely and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
- Provide information on outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folio, vehicle location, damage surveys and claim check receipts
- Collect revenue for vehicles when needed
