Job Description

The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is a vital position responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality services to guests. This includes parking and retrieving vehicles safely and efficiently, assisting guests with luggage, and providing helpful information about the facility and local attractions. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • valid driver's license
  • one month related experience and/or training
  • ability to read and write English
  • ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively communicate in person and in groups
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • understanding of 24 hour and military time
  • ability to calculate applicable rates
  • ability to operate a manual transmission preferred
  • ability to perform parallel parking
  • physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
  • availability to work in various weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
  • ability to work morning, evening or overnight shifts
  • willingness to travel up to 5 percent

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • valid driver's license for the state or within commutable distance
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with tens and hundreds
  • ability to perform calculations using units of American money
  • understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
  • understanding of rates applicable to time passed
  • ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
  • ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • uses guest last names during interactions
  • uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
  • practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • shuttles guests to appropriate places approved by the location
  • explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
