Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
- Minimum of one month related experience or equivalent education
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to understand and apply time and rate systems
- Physical capability to handle outdoor work conditions and lifting requirements
- Willingness to work overnight shifts
- Ability to work with specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain professionalism
- Ability to handle up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information to guests, clients, and employees
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division involving American currency
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable rates based on time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles safely and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
- Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
