Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent preferred
- employment experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- CPR certification and/or first aid training preferred
- ability to read, write, listen, and communicate effectively in English
- strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate with empathy and resolve issues
- sufficient manual dexterity and ability to lift, carry, or transport luggage
- ability to operate vehicles with automatic or standard transmission
- ability to operate in a 7-day per week, 24-hour per day business setting
- valid driver's license and clean driving record
Job Duties
- Promptly answer valet phone using positive and clear communication
- verbally arrange and confirm parking valet requests from guests and make appropriate arrangements for bell desk services
- ticket vehicles with guest name, room number, car license, make/model, amount of charge and length of stay
- follow established procedures for car control including maintaining accurate logs of keys and completing required valet parking log sheets and reports
- retrieve information on guest vehicles and claim checks using valet desk computer system
- operate vehicles using safe driving practices to ensure safe delivery to and from parking areas
- assist door attendant in opening car doors and loading/unloading luggage
- assist with maintaining cleanliness of parking area, hotel lobby, and breakfast buffet area including emptying trash cans
- support other departments during downtime by sweeping, mopping, folding towels, and changing light bulbs
- respond accurately to general inquiries about hotel services and local attractions
- provide support during guest check-in and check-out by answering inquiries, providing directions, and escorting guests
- maintain cleanliness of guest vehicles by returning them as left
- ensure guest vehicles are driven to appropriate parking areas and not used for personal use without consent
- report maintenance deficiencies, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- follow all safety procedures and act appropriately in emergency situations
