Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license in the community's state
- No more than two moving violations in the past three years
- Ability to lift at least fifteen pounds
- Good physical and mental health
- Finger and hand dexterity to handle equipment
- Visual and auditory acuity
- Ability to push, pull, walk, sit, stand and perform physical tasks such as crouching and bending
- Neat and well-groomed appearance
- Ability to use a computer and type
- Positive attitude toward service provision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of three years driving experience required
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of servicing an automobile
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Experience operating 7 to 14+ passenger vehicles
- Ability to assist seniors with care and mobility needs during transport
Job Duties
- Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, coworkers and the surrounding community
- Actively participate in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals
- Perform all duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude
- Operate a 7 to 14+ passenger vehicle
- Ensure vehicle(s) are always ready for transport including safety checks and updated emergency information sheets
- Assist residents with entering and leaving the vehicle and with baggage as needed
- Enforce safety rules when traveling
- Secure necessary paperwork for appointments and deliver to appropriate persons
- Transport residents to appointments, group activities, and other destinations
- Service the vehicle including refueling, oil and fluid maintenance, and cleaning
- Perform emergency repairs as needed
- Attend required in-services and orientation sessions
- Respond to residents' requests and perform additional duties as requested
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing and implementing residence activities
- Perform other related duties as requested
