Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid US driver license and driving history that shows history of safe conduct
  • must speak fluent English
  • other languages preferred
  • frequently standing up for extended periods
  • carrying or lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds
  • handling objects, products and computer equipment
  • use a keyboard to operate various property management and reservations systems
  • communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees
  • reading and writing abilities are utilized often
  • basic math and simple accounting skills are used frequently
  • problem solving, reasoning, motivating and training abilities are often used
  • may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Welcome and acknowledge all arriving guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • transport luggage to and from guest rooms
  • safely drive, park, retrieve and move a variety of motor vehicles
  • secure, tag and store luggage at guest's request
  • direct guests to appropriate hotel staff for assistance with questions and special requests regarding food, laundry, concierge services, or housekeeping
  • respond appropriately to guest complaints
  • inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied guests
  • promote hotel facilities, outlets, and services to guests and provide information to guests regarding local attractions and activities
  • treat requests with professionalism, tact, and a courteous manner
  • adhere to uniform and grooming standards
  • perform other duties as requested by management
