Job Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Greets and directs patients and visitors arriving at the facility to their destination while creating a positive image of the organization
- Operates guest's vehicle in a safe manner and makes sure the vehicle is locked after parking it in the designated area
- Keeps the front clear of vehicles by not allowing any long-term parking for any reason and keeps count of cars parked in designated valet areas
- Prepares valet parking reports daily and logs incidents that occur
- Keeps supervisor informed of needs, problems, and activities
- Reports parking violations to the security officer
- Alerts security to any crimes or act of vandalism that may occur to vehicles
- Physically assists those exiting from their vehicle if they need it due to limited mobility
- Determines urgency of situations, calms patients if necessary and makes appropriate referrals
- Safely transports patients, employees, and guests on Avera McKennan campus
- Operates the courtesy shuttle vehicle in a safe manner following all traffic laws and makes sure the vehicle is locked after parking it in the designated area at the end of the scheduled shift
- Ensures that the vehicle is clean, clutter free, and presents in a professional manner
- Ensures that the vehicle is filled with gas and oil, maintains records on a daily log, and complete the mileage documentation
