  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training
  • Preferred prior training in guest relations
  • Previous experience in a similar position

Job Duties

  • Be familiar with all hotel services and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
  • Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities, daily arrivals and departures, house count, hotel features and services, hours of operation of each outlet, parking facilities and procedures
  • Direct attention to Door Person to receive signals
  • Greet arriving guests and visitors, bid farewell to departing guests and invite them to return
  • Assist guests and visitors into and out of their vehicles
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage
  • Provide legible claim tickets to guests for their luggage
  • Take possession of and park vehicles, documenting location of vehicles in the parking facility
  • Ensure security of vehicles and keys, date and time stamp parking tickets and file
  • Check with Supervisor or Valet Parking Cashier for assignments and remain at post when not parking vehicles
  • Hold vehicles at hotel entrance areas, keeping driveways clear and vehicles parked legally
  • Answer telephones promptly, document requests and record completion times
  • Validate vehicle claim tickets and relay payment procedures
  • Follow procedures for retrieving vehicles without claim tickets
  • Retrieve vehicles from secured locations and release them upon authorization
  • Open vehicle doors and assist guests on request
  • Relay accurate directions for local destinations
  • Monitor parking areas and report hazards or security concerns
  • Follow procedures for vehicle accidents, breakdowns and incidents
