Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • physical ability to lift and carry heavy luggage up to 75 pounds
  • availability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods
  • willingness to follow safety and security procedures
  • professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate basic office equipment such as computers and telephones

Job Duties

  • open and close vehicle doors for guests
  • check guest luggage for both day and overnight visits
  • assist guests with storing and retrieving their luggage and if requested from their vehicle
  • utilize bell carts to transfer luggage and packages to and from rooms, vehicles, and loading areas
  • maintain and clean the designated lobby station and baggage room
  • ensure that lobby area and front exterior/interior of the hotel is neat and clean by picking up trash and adjusting furniture
  • stand by ready to assist guests by greeting and welcoming them and providing travel directions and recommendations
  • answer phones to assist with guest calls and PBX services
  • restock supplies at the front desk, business center, and grab and go stations
  • promptly report all emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damages, mechanical problems, and safety hazards to management
  • maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • adhere to hotel taxi stand requirements and agreements
  • follow all company policies and procedures
  • follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisors
  • provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security protocols
  • assist other Front Desk personnel when needed
  • perform any related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
