Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of required food handlers certification
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX
- Availability to work part-time day shifts
- Ability to comply with Buckner's safety and sanitation policies
- Physical capability to handle cleaning and lifting tasks
Job Qualifications
- Completes and meets required training and certification requirements of Buckner and governing authorities
- Knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements
- Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force continuously
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75 percent of shift
Job Duties
- Set-up, breakdown and maintain the dish room and pot washing area
- Set-up, breakdown and clean floor safety mats
- Clean all pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glassware, and utensils, including washing, drying and storing
- Clean and sanitize all carts
- Clean production equipment and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
- Mop and sweep kitchen, dry storeroom, walk-in coolers to be free of debris
- Take out trash on an ongoing basis
- Keep log sheets for the dish machine and 3 compartment sink
