Job Requirements
- Pass company security clearance per policy
- Ability to stand for eight hours and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, stretching, and reaching
- Ability to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 60 pounds
- Ability to see and hear adequately
- Proficient in reading and speaking English, additional languages helpful
- Display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness at all times
- Ability to perform major life activities such as learning, concentrating, and communicating
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 as necessary
Job Qualifications
- Experience in lodging, housing, hospitals or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
- High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred
- Maintain applicable state food certifications
- Knowledge of proper cleaning, organization, and handling of dishes, flatware and kitchen utensils
- Familiarity with sanitation and cost control procedures
- Understanding of safety and security measures
- Knowledge of chemicals and appropriate water temperatures
- Ability to work within productivity standards and follow systematic cleaning procedures
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills for professional interaction with guests and co-workers
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and organized use of supplies
- Set up work station including dish machine, chemical levels, and presoak areas
- Operate equipment according to manufacturer instructions, including cleaning and maintenance reporting
- Clean kitchen equipment such as hoods, filters, steam tables, bus tables, carts, ovens, and grills
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including storerooms
- Follow emergency procedures and address guest issues or houseman duties as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned within capability
