Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one year experience as a prep cook with dishwasher responsibilities
- Food Handlers certification
- Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to plan and organize work
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- Basic understanding of English
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently
- Ability to push and pull bus carts and tray carts weighing up to 100 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently
- Willingness to work varied PM shifts
- Ability to comply with hygiene and dress code standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic
- A minimum of one year experience as a prep cook with dishwasher responsibilities in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution
- Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- Food Handlers certification
- Basic understanding of English
Job Duties
- Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
- Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Performs pot washing, dishwashing, general cleaning duties
- Stores food and non-food supplies
