Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year experience as a prep cook with dishwasher responsibilities
  • Food Handlers certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic
  • Ability to plan and organize work
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • Basic understanding of English
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire workday
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently
  • Ability to push and pull bus carts and tray carts weighing up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently
  • Willingness to work varied PM shifts
  • Ability to comply with hygiene and dress code standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic
  • A minimum of one year experience as a prep cook with dishwasher responsibilities in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution
  • Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • Food Handlers certification
  • Basic understanding of English

Job Duties

  • Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • Performs pot washing, dishwashing, general cleaning duties
  • Stores food and non-food supplies
