Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously
  • Ability to push dish racks and perform frequent stooping and bending
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good personal hygiene
  • Physical ability to operate necessary equipment
  • Reports to work on time wearing company-approved uniform
  • Must be able to commute or relocate to Miami Beach, FL 33140 before starting work

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in dishwashing or food service environment is an advantage
  • Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of operating dishwashing equipment
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 40 lbs
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and equipment parts in a timely manner
  • Ensure general order and cleanliness of kitchen, dining room, and storeroom including sweeping and mopping
  • Follow proper procedures for receiving and putting away deliveries, labeling and dating products, and breaking down boxes
  • Keep towels and soap dispensers clean and stocked throughout the shift
  • Transport ice from the ice machine to drink and salad counters as needed
  • Maintain temperature logs using recommended thermometers
  • Clean and return all kitchen items promptly following standards and policies
  • Change water and maintain chemical additive levels for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing
  • Monitor soap supply and sanitizing agent levels using test strips
  • Maintain clean dish machines and monitor supplies
  • Replenish dishes and trays to the counter in a timely manner
  • Adhere to standardized cleaning, safety, and sanitation procedures and practice the clean-as-you-go philosophy
  • Maintain floors and traffic areas through vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and spot cleaning
  • Follow departmental closing and daily cleaning assignments
  • Ensure all trash cans are clean and properly placed and discard all trash and cardboard bins
