Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) preferred
  • Six months previous dishwasher experience preferred
  • Knowledge of dishwashing techniques preferred
  • Basic math skills required
  • Strong verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend various written reports and documents
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force
  • Physical ability to carry, lift, push, pull, stand, walk, stoop, bend, and perform repetitive motions
  • Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday from 1:30 pm to 10 pm

Job Duties

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and/or pans using dishwasher or by hand
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas following departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils by organizing and cleaning dish and pot areas
  • Follow proper food handling procedures and comply with quality performance standards
  • Operate food service equipment following manufacturer and department procedures
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Support a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment
