The Overnight Utility Steward position is an essential role within a hospitality or food service establishment, typically situated in a hotel, resort, or restaurant environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that the kitchen and all related areas maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene during overnight hours, supporting the kitchen staff and contributing to the overall operational success of the establishment. Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- High school diploma or education equivalent required
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to understand MSDS paperwork

Job Duties
- Performs cleaning duties under the supervision of the Executive Steward
- Performs all duties in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures
- Cleans upper and lower stove areas such as grills, drawers, reach ins, walk ins, salamanders, hoods, ovens, stove tops, ceilings, and deep fryers
- Drains, filters, and replaces cooking oils
- Cleans hood filters and hoods
- Works as a pot washer or kitchen worker as needed
- Consistently inspects stoves for dirt
- Consistently inspects for needed repairs such as loose screws, etc., and reports them to the immediate Supervisor
- Safely works with chemicals and wears appropriate protection
- Performs other duties as assigned
