Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or commercial maintenance or engineering preferred
- Knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical mechanical and elevator systems
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance
- Strong understanding of safety compliance and regulations
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Certifications like HVAC Technician Electrician License or OSHA safety training preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical and mechanical systems as well as elevators and fire safety equipment
- Skills in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for long-term efficiency
- Ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly across a variety of hotel systems
- Understanding energy-efficient practices and systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability
- Certifications like HVAC Technician Electrician License or OSHA safety training are preferred
- Guest sensitivity and awareness of how maintenance activities can impact guests and measures to minimize disruptions
Job Duties
- Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs for hotel equipment systems and infrastructure including HVAC plumbing electrical lighting and elevators
- Perform or supervise preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment
- Ensure all hotel facilities including guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces are in excellent condition
- Maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations including fire safety and building codes
- Perform regular safety inspections and maintain records of certifications and inspections
- Monitor and manage energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices
- Work closely with housekeeping front desk and food and beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly and support guest satisfaction
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects
