Job Requirements
- valid food handlers card
- no prior experience required but a plus
- ability to stand for prolonged periods
- ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- strong attention to detail and hygiene
Job Qualifications
- valid food handlers card
- willingness to learn and progress within the kitchen
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good communication and teamwork skills
- basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards
- previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is a plus
- servsafe food safety manager certificate is a plus
Job Duties
- wash dishes and kitchen utensils promptly and thoroughly to ensure cleanliness and sanitation
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish room and kitchen areas
- assist with kitchen tasks as needed including basic food preparation and support to cooks
- follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- manage waste disposal and recycling according to community standards
- operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving kitchen operations
