Job Duties

  • Executes department practices, procedures, safety regulations, and adheres to all federal, state and local guidelines
  • Maintains required sanitary levels for food and equipment throughout food preparation, service and storage and ensures all food handling and sanitation is in conjunction with local and corporate health and sanitation requirements
  • Assures that all kitchen areas and equipment are properly maintained for convenience and safety operating to manufacturer's specifications, reporting and assisting in identifying and correcting problem areas and equipment
  • Assists cook with peeling, prepping and other related duties as requested
  • Receives, follows and ensures that all schedules are followed as outlined by supervisor, demonstrating versatility and/or willing to cover various functions and shifts, including driving, working weekends, holidays, and during emergencies
  • Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel and other departments to assure that all functions can be properly planned and maintained
  • Participates in programs designed for in-service education, on the job training and orientation classes
