Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance
- ability to stand or walk for an extended period or an entire work shift
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- must be able to safely handle cleaning chemicals
- must have basic communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, specifically weekends and holidays
- previous housekeeping experience preferred, hotel experience preferred although other environmental services positions will be considered
- strong attention to detail required
- good communication, time management, follow-through, and customer service skills are required
- must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and be able to respond to hazardous situations
Job Duties
- Operate and maintain miscellaneous floor care equipment
- ensure all public space areas, furniture, and floors are cleaned and maintained
- shampoo and spot clean all hotel carpeted areas
- operate and maintain carpet cleaning machinery and supplies
- shampoo lobby and public area carpets
- shampoo all guestroom and hallway carpets
- report all damages to carpeted areas
- responsible for rotation of throw rugs
- maintain proper documentation of scheduled cleaning cycles
