Job Requirements
- High school graduation or GED required
- 1-2 years experience in a similar position desired
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- ability to meet or exceed attendance and punctuality standards
- ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment
- ability to understand and follow instructions
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef/Director of Dietary Services with food and supply inventory calculations
- attend to kitchen spills and maintain clean floors and surfaces
- assist in meal preparation with portion control and special diet adherence
- follow sanitation programs, schedules, and inspections
- prevent food contamination through proper covering, labeling, storage, and temperature control
- assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing supplies
- remove trash from kitchen areas and manage garbage cans and sites
- wash, scrub and dry dishes, utensils, beverage containers, food carts, and cooking equipment
- manage dishwashing stations and ensure proper chemical use according to guidelines
- perform preventive maintenance and equipment checks on dishwashing machines
- transport dishes to the main kitchen for cleaning
- set up and break down member/resident events as assigned
