Job Requirements
- High school graduation or GED required
- 1-2 years experience in similar position desired
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- ability to meet or exceed company attendance and punctuality standards
- ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment
- ability to understand and follow directions
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- physically able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform sanitation tasks
- free of communicable diseases during period of job performance
- adaptable to exposure to moderate noise and challenging work conditions

Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef or Director of Dietary Services with food and supply inventory calculations
- attend to kitchen spills promptly and maintain cleanliness of floors and surfaces
- assist in meal preparation ensuring portion control and adherence to special diet requirements
- follow sanitation programs including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and inspections
- prevent food contamination by proper covering, dating, labeling, and storage while maintaining safe temperatures
- assist with receiving, inspection, and storage of supplies
- remove trash and monitor garbage areas related to dietary services
- wash, scrub, and dry dishes, utensils, beverage containers, carts, and cooking equipment
- manage dishwashing stations ensuring correct chemical use according to state and company guidelines
- perform preventive maintenance and equipment checks on dishwashing machinery
- transport dishes back to the main kitchen for cleaning
- set up and break down member/resident events as assigned
