Kraft Heinz, a globally recognized leader in the food and beverage industry, operates a prominent production facility located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This plant specializes in producing a variety of highly regarded frozen food products, including soups and macaroni and cheese, that are distributed nationwide. The Cedar Rapids facility is a non-union operation running on a three-shift schedule with approximately 200 hourly staff members, composed of both full-time and temporary associates. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- ability to work full-time on 1st shift schedule Monday through Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm
- strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn production equipment
- capability to follow strict safety guidelines and food safety standards
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
- flexible to work in multiple positions within the department
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- effective communication skills
- willingness to lead and assist in training others when necessary

Job Duties
- Capable of completing duties for any job task assigned within department
- understanding of Clean Inspect Lubricate (CIL), Centerline (CL), 5S, basic problem solving and Oscar system execution
- leads by example in problem solving skills within the process
- responsible for escalating production issues and gaps in performance preventing attainment of targets
- continuously improve technical skill set by progressing through Step Up Card system
- verify all employees in department are functioning together and minimizing mistakes
- coordinate transition of materials and workflow with surrounding department leads and supervisors
- ensure IQS documentation is entered accurately and timely
- verify subordinates accurately following quality practices
- participate and attend DDS meetings
- monitor run rates to ensure Run to Target goals are met
- execute operations systems (OSCAR, DDS, CL, CIL)
- assist lead in operational success by ensuring materials are present, employees on task, enforcing break schedule
- assist lead in educating and training employees on machinery and job functions
- maintain team's organization and document management
- participate in root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses
- effective waste stream monitoring and executing reduction goals
- participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions
- perform other duties and projects as assigned
