Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in dishwashing or cleaning roles preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation standards
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- Capacity to work independently
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties
- Good interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training
- Previous experience as hotel or restaurant dishwasher or janitorial position preferred
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times
- Be familiar with hotel services, features, and local attractions
- Resolve guest complaints ensuring satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Use correct cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations
- Set up and organize work station with supplies and equipment
- Check and maintain dishwashing machine working condition
- Fill dishwashing machine with specified chemicals
- Ensure temperature levels meet standards
- Advise manager of discrepancies
- Organize breakdown area for dirty wares
- Remove excess food and debris from wares before washing
- Position wares correctly in racks and wash only when full
- Remove washed wares and allow to air dry
- Inspect cleanliness and rewash if necessary
- Sort, stack and store cleaned wares carefully
- Change water/filters in dishwashing machine
- Monitor usage of machine and chemicals
- Maintain cleanliness of garbage disposal
- Clean dishwashing machine and work areas
- Sanitize kitchen utensils and equipment
- Stock kitchen lines with clean wares
- Clean spills immediately
- Use designated chemicals to clean floors
- Transport and clean mats
- Maintain supply/ storage closets clean and organized
- Transport garbage to dumpster
- Adhere to recycling regulations
- Report damages or safety hazards
- Follow Health Department and safety regulations
- Organize and restock work areas for next shift
