Job Description

ASM Global is a leading public facilities management company recognized for its comprehensive expertise in managing stadiums, arenas, convention centers, and other large venues worldwide. Committed to delivering extraordinary experiences, ASM Global partners with landmark venues to host events ranging from concerts and sports games to corporate gatherings and community celebrations. The company's innovative approach in operational excellence, safety, and customer service ensures memorable experiences for guests and stakeholders alike. Through continuous development and adaptable strategies, ASM Global remains a dominant force in the facilities management industry, offering a dynamic workplace with opportunities for career growth and development.

Within ASM Global, the Save Mart Center serves as a premier multi-purpose arena hosting a diverse range of events, including sports competitions, concerts, and live entertainment. To uphold its reputation for exceptional guest experiences, ASM Global has an immediate opportunity for a part-time Usher to join the Guest Services and Event Operations team. This hourly, part-time role offers competitive compensation at $16.90 per hour and reports directly to the Events Manager.

The Usher position is fundamental in creating a welcoming and safe environment for guests attending events at the Save Mart Center. As the face of the facility, the Usher greets patrons with outstanding, friendly customer service, ensuring every attendee feels valued and supported. The role requires engaging with guests by answering general inquiries about the arena and event logistics while assisting in any way needed to enhance their experience. Ushers also play a critical role in monitoring the event environment, promptly reporting any concerns or issues to the appropriate department for swift resolution.

This position demands individuals who thrive in fast-paced, diverse settings and possess excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ushers must effectively follow oral and written instructions and adapt flexibly to changing situations throughout the event. The job includes potentially irregular shift schedules, encompassing nights, weekends, and holidays, underscoring the need for reliable, enthusiastic team members dedicated to superior guest service.

Physical requirements also factor into the role, as Ushers will need to stand or walk for extended periods. While the work environment is generally safe, it occasionally exposes employees to loud sound levels, typical of live events in a large venue setting. Comprehensive training and support ensure Ushers are well-prepared to meet these demands while upholding the high standards ASM Global is known for.

This role offers an excellent entry point for individuals seeking to build a career in event operations and customer service within the entertainment and hospitality industry. ASM Global values diversity and inclusion, encouraging women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans to apply. This commitment underscores the company’s focus on creating an equitable and engaging workplace.

In summary, the Usher position at ASM Global’s Save Mart Center is a vital part of the guest services team, providing top-tier customer interaction, logistical support, and safety oversight in an exciting event-driven environment. Candidates interested in a flexible, part-time role with competitive pay and growth opportunities within a global leader in facility management should consider applying. This role offers the chance to work behind the scenes of some of the most engaging entertainment experiences, contributing to the satisfaction and safety of every guest in attendance.
