Job Requirements
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Minimum 5 years experience or 3 years with certification in the related trades
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency calls and effectively manage time and priorities
Job Qualifications
- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program preferred
- License in related trade in city and/or state preferred
- Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders to support stores and store associates and document repair activities
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely
- Train store associates on equipment care and cleaning
- Adhere to established maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance guidelines
