Job Requirements
- One year general management experience including financial accountability
- Two years of college or one year retail experience and one year supervising 10 associates or two years general work experience and one year supervising 10 associates
- Successful completion of job-required trainings and assessments
- For certain locations, state issued Certificate of Eligibility for ammunition sales
- For firearms facilities, successful firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and authorized training
- Commitment to maintaining drug-free workplace
- Eligibility to attend and complete training programs.
Job Qualifications
- One year general management experience including financial accountability
- Two years of college or one year retail experience plus one year supervising 10 or more employees or two years general work experience plus one year supervising 10 or more employees
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership preferred
- General work experience supervising 20 or more direct reports preferred
- Experience in performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing preferred.
Job Duties
- Directs and guides members of management and hourly associates on proper customer service approaches and techniques by modeling excellent customer service
- Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within company guidelines and standards
- Drives financial performance of the facility by managing budgeted sales, wages, and expenses
- Assists in leading the management team in expense and wage control
- Creates and implements plans to improve financial performance
- Participates in community outreach programs and represents the company in external organizations
- Directs facility operations, including merchandise presentation, pricing, signage, inventory levels, and execution of company programs
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management
- Drives execution of business plans by identifying needs, removing barriers, providing resources, and measuring progress
- Promotes company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethics
- Evaluates effectiveness of current plans and programs and applies improvements
- Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and fosters a culture of belonging
- Maintains and promotes integrity, ethics, and compliance
- Acts selflessly with humility, fairness, and transparency
- Delivers results while putting customers first, adapting business models accordingly
- Makes data-driven decisions balancing short and long-term priorities
