Job Requirements
- Must meet state regulatory requirements for pharmacy technicians including minimum age and certification
- Obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within nine months of employment
- Ability to operate cash registers and pharmacy hardware
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow prescribed procedures for medication handling and documentation
- Willingness to comply with company policies including drug-free workplace standards
Job Qualifications
- Meets all state requirements to work as a pharmacy technician including age, registration, certification, and licensure
- Ability to obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within nine months of job entry
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medication and prescription data
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems preferred

Job Duties
- Process member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware
- Maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise and supplies
- Handle claims and returns according to company policies and procedures
- Monitor and resolve problems in the prescription fulfillment process including processing insurance claims and notifying patients
- Promote pharmacy products and services while assisting pharmacists with prescription orders and purchases
- Enter prescription data into pharmacy software accurately and update patient records
- Fill prescriptions by measuring, counting, labeling medications and verifying accuracy
- Assist members during prescription pickup including verifying patient information and logging sales
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and improve pharmacy operations
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times
