Job Requirements

  • Meets all state requirements to work as a pharmacy technician such as minimum age registration certification or licensure when required
  • Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry
  • Ability to operate cash registers and pharmacy related hardware
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Good communication skills and ability to assist patients and members
  • Willingness to comply with company policies procedures and standards of ethics
  • Must adhere to a drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Process member purchases by operating cash registers and handling various payment types
  • Maintain pharmacy merchandise presentation by stocking, rotating, and organizing products
  • Remove damaged or out-of-date goods and secure fragile items
  • Assist in prescription fulfillment by entering data, filling prescriptions, and ensuring accuracy with scanning equipment
  • Handle third-party insurance claims and resolve prescription fulfillment issues
  • Provide patient member service including assisting with prescription orders, purchases, and addressing member concerns
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, state and federal laws, and complete required documentation
