Job Requirements
- Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician including minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure
- must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry
- ability to operate cash registers and pharmacy equipment
- strong communication and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Processes member purchases by operating a cash registers and related hardware
- maintains merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise and supplies
- removes damaged or out-of-date goods
- sets up, cleans, and organizes product displays
- signs and prices merchandise
- secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- maintains the pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns
- utilizes equipment for merchandising functions
- organizes merchandise and supplies
- identifies shrink and damages
- ensures a safe work environment
- completes and retains required paperwork and documentation
- monitors and resolves problems in the prescription fulfillment process by processing information for third-party insurance claims
- rescans illegible images
- alerts patients to inventory issues
- promotes and maintains the pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting the pharmacist in prescription fulfillment and insurance claims processing
- provides patient/member service in the pharmacy area by acknowledging members and identifying needs
- initiates the prescription fulfillment process
- promotes products and services
- resolves member issues
- enters prescription data into pharmacy software accurately
- fills prescriptions by accurately measuring, mixing, and labeling medications
- provides member assistance during prescription pick-up following corporate policies
