Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
ability to stand for long periods
ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
basic math skills for handling transactions

Customer service experience
retail experience including operating front end equipment such as cash register
working with mobile retail applications

Job Duties

Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members
processes memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts
encourages membership renewals
participates in sales and marketing events
completes and maintains marketing recaps and other required documentation
makes efforts to meet membership goals
promotes the value of Sam's Club products and services
ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns
zones the area
arranges and organizes merchandise
identifies shrink and damages
provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs
assists members with purchasing decisions
locates merchandise
resolves member issues and concerns
promotes Sam's Club products and services
provides guidance and support to members regarding member self-service technology
processes member purchases
assists members with payments according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types
assists members with transactions utilizing belted registers
complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources
collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners
identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations
carries out tasks
communicates progress and information
determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities
