Job Requirements

  • Two years of college or one year retail experience and one year supervisory experience or two years general work experience and one year supervisory experience
  • Completion of job-required trainings and assessments
  • For firearms facilities successful completion of criminal background check and firearms authorized training
  • May require state-issued Certificate of Eligibility for ammunition facilities where applicable
  • Commit to attending and completing all required training and assessments
  • Ability to work in a drug-free workplace environment
  • Availability to work at the specified location
  • Adherence to Walmart policies including ethics and integrity standards

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of college or one year of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience or two years of general work experience and one year supervisory experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University preferred
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership preferred
  • Experience supervising five or more direct reports including performance management mentoring hiring and firing
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong trusting relationships
  • Strong communication skills with ability to motivate influence and drive results
  • Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvements and support change initiatives

Job Duties

  • Lead and develop teams by teaching training and actively listening to associates
  • Tour stores and provide feedback to associates
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations and initiatives
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards following the One Best Way (OBW) service model
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives and community outreach programs
  • Drive financial performance by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements and managing budgets
  • Monitor merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes
  • Hire train and mentor hourly associates promoting a culture of belonging
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities supporting customer and business needs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards while promoting Walmart values
