Job Requirements
- Vocational or technical certification or 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction or related field
- Ability to manage projects, budgets, and vendor relationships
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA work regulations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to coach and develop others
- Proven problem-solving and customer service abilities
- Capability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities
Job Qualifications
- Vocational or technical certification or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction or related field
- Associates degree or similar certification in engineering, maintenance, construction management or related field is preferred
- Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) credential is preferred
- Project management experience and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are desirable
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in budget preparation, cost control, and vendor management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to comply with OSHA and EPA safety regulations
- Competence in troubleshooting and customer service excellence
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process improvements
- Commitment to uphold company ethics and values
Job Duties
- Prepares and executes budgets by developing cost estimates on projects
- Approves purchases of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies
- Provides technical assistance and consultation to facilitate purchases
- Verifies purchase receipt and acceptance
- Manages internal scheduled projects including workforce planning and project completion
- Creates punch lists to document discrepancies and ensures their resolution
- Sources, verifies, and approves material requisitions
- Gathers capital expenditures lists and develops scopes of work to update facility assets
- Complies with OSHA and EPA regulations by following company safety policies
- Controls company costs by conducting price comparisons and submitting warranty claims
- Completes required paperwork and submits to management
- Leads third party providers, coaches, conducts performance evaluations, and assures quality
- Troubleshoots and provides customer service by resolving problems and ensuring a safe work environment
- Evaluates current and future replacement needs and implements facility upgrades
- Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and builds strong relationships with stakeholders
- Develops, communicates, and implements business processes to meet goals
- Promotes compliance with company policies and ethics
- Leads and participates in teams to ensure quality and timely completion of work
- Demonstrates respect for individuals and fosters a positive workplace culture
- Maintains high integrity and supports Walmart's regenerative company goals
