Job Requirements

  • Vocational or technical certification or two years experience in mechanical maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction and related field
  • knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
  • ability to manage budgets and projects

  • capacity to troubleshoot facility maintenance issues and provide customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Vocational or technical certification or two years experience in mechanical maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction and related field
  • associates degree or similar certification in engineering, maintenance, construction management, or related field preferred
  • certified facilities manager (CFM) preferred
  • third party management experience preferred
  • project management professional (PMP) certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and execute budgets by developing cost estimates on requested and planned projects
  • approve purchases of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies
  • provide technical assistance and consultation to facilitate purchases
  • verify purchase receipt and acceptance
  • manage internal scheduled projects by determining work assignment priority, planning work assignments, developing and maintaining workforce and manpower needs
  • create punch lists to document discrepancies, ensure completion of projects and assignments
  • source, verify, and approve material requisitions
  • gather capital expenditures lists and develop scopes of work to update existing assets in assigned facilities
  • comply with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to established practices and safety policies
  • control company costs by conducting price comparisons of parts, equipment, and travel related costs including submitting warranty claims
  • complete required paperwork such as expense vouchers, weekly summaries, and work orders
  • lead third party providers by fostering professional growth, coaching, conducting performance evaluations, and directing quality assurance inspections
  • troubleshoot and provide customer service by communicating with facility users to assess and resolve problems and complaints, ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy work environment
  • evaluate current and future replacement needs and implement upgrades to convert facilities into sustainable units
  • coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs
  • develop, communicate and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers
  • demonstrate, promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
  • lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, information and tools, determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating work assignments, providing advice and feedback to ensure quality and timeliness and modeling adaptability
