Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • minimum 6 months experience in fresh production area
  • successful completion of job required trainings and assessments within prescribed time
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to perform bakery tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights
  • basic math skills for recipe measurement and inventory
  • compliance with company drug-free workplace policy

Job Duties

  • collaborate with cross functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources

  • maintain inventory levels and control shrinkage in the bakery department
  • plan bakery production schedules ensuring quality and consistency
  • decorate bakery items using various tools and techniques including flowers and lettering
  • adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and cold chain compliance
  • operate, maintain, and sanitize bakery equipment
  • leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve member experience
  • utilize handheld technology for production and merchandise decisions
  • drive bakery area performance by managing quality and date control standards
  • prepare for seasonal events affecting bakery volume
  • assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve member concerns
  • model high quality service and products while serving as a brand advocate
  • support team development through mentoring, training, and influence
